Seize the Week

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 13 June 2026

The short version: Seize the Week has no account, no servers, and no analytics. Your Apple Health data is read-only, used only on your device to compute your life-expectancy estimate, and never sent to us or anyone else. The only place your data travels is your own private iCloud, which we cannot access.

Who we are

Seize the Week ("the app") is an iOS application published under the Carpe Diem umbrella. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information. You can reach us any time at [email protected].

Data we collect

None. We operate no servers and run no analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting services. We have no way to receive, see, or store your personal information. Under Apple's definition, the app's privacy label is “Data Not Collected.”

Apple Health data

With your explicit permission, the app reads the following Apple Health data read-only (it never writes anything back) to compute and display a personal life-expectancy estimate entirely on your device:

This data is processed only on your device. It is never transmitted to us, sold, shared, or used for advertising. You can revoke the app's Health access at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health.

iCloud sync

If you are signed in to iCloud, the app syncs your settings and your history of estimates through your own private iCloud (CloudKit private database). This data is governed by Apple's privacy policy and is accessible only to you on your own devices. We, the developer, cannot access it. If you are signed out of iCloud, the app stores everything locally on your device only.

What we don't do

Children

The app is rated 4+ and contains no objectionable content, but it is designed for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13.

Not medical advice

Seize the Week is a motivational visualization, not a medical prediction, diagnosis, or health advice. The estimate is an illustration of how habits may move the odds, based on published population research — not a forecast of your individual lifespan.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date above and post the revised version at this address.
